Resources for Incoming and First-Year Students
Learn about Academic Advising's programs for incoming and first-year students, including Approaching Stanford, the Leland Scholars Program, Frosh 101, and more!

Approaching Stanford
Approaching Stanford is the process that guides all new undergraduates in the transition to life on The Farm. From the day you are admitted up through New Student Orientation in September, Approaching Stanford is here for you!

Frosh/Transfer 101
The Frosh 101 and Transfer 101 courses offer students a place to be seen, heard, and validated as they build a strong community with their peers. Learn from upper-class students who can help guide you through the chaos of your first quarter at Stanford!

Leland Scholars Program
The Leland Scholars Program (LSP) facilitates the transition to college for students who may be the first in their families to attend college, attended under-resourced high schools, or are from low-income backgrounds. Learn more about our program here.
